ABOUT ME
Based in Cape Town, South Africa I work as a freelance producer and director predominantly for German-speaking media outlets such as Deutsche Welle, ZDF or ProSieben. In addition to directing, I organise shoots for TV-crews. My first feature documentary, DORPIE, premiered in the Frontlight section at IDFA 2022 and received at special mention in the category “Best International Feature Documentary” at the Encounters Aljazeera Awards 2023!
Before relocating to South Africa in 2012, I worked as an editor at TV production houses in Munich and Hamburg. In 2007 I graduated from the University of Hamburg with an M.A. in Middle Eastern and Political Sciences. I wrote my first articles for the exquisite Middle Eastern Quarterly zenith.
